Pool & Spa

One heated pool, a waterslide, and three more ways to soak

The pool at Casa Nakhla is heated to about 84°F every day, for every guest, with a full-size waterslide built in. Add a round spillway spa beside the pool, a terrace hot tub, a private downstairs jacuzzi, and an outdoor rain shower, and there's a different way to soak for every mood. There's no lifeguard — it's a private pool, so adults supervise kids the way they would at home.

The heated pool and the waterslide

The pool runs heated to roughly 84°F every day — it's always on, nothing to request. The full-size waterslide needs the two pool valves open plus the red valve at the base of the slide to flow; if the water won't start, message the hosts and they can raise the pool pump remotely. Rules that keep it safe: 120 lbs, one person at a time, adult supervision, and no diving anywhere on the property.

Not a jacuzzi — the round spillway spa

The round water feature beside the pool is a spillway, not a jacuzzi — no jets, no bubbles, and it isn't heated by default. On stays of 7 nights or more, the hosts will heat it to work as a hot tub for a free 2-hour window each day, whenever you'd like. One interlock to know: the waterslide has to be off while the spillway is heating, or the spa water just drains back down into the pool.

The terrace hot tub

A separate hot tub sits up on the terrace with ocean views. Full-stay access to it runs through the Chill Package (or the Combo/Ultimate Outdoor packages, which bundle it with the outdoor bar and more) — ask the hosts what's included for your dates.

The downstairs jacuzzi

A private jacuzzi in the downstairs apartment is filled by hand — a green floor valve, a faucet, and a slow fill from the bottom that needs watching so it doesn't overflow — so the hosts turn it on by request and can add heat or bubbles. One safety note worth knowing: it's never used while the house is running on its water reserve.

Rinse off outside

An outdoor rain shower sits right by the pool for rinsing off sand, sunscreen or chlorine without tracking it through the house.

For the kids

The basketball arcade runs for the full stay as part of the Kids' Package ($200/stay), which also sets up an inflatable waterpark on the lawn for three full days of your choosing (first or last three of the trip) — ages 5–10, up to 5 kids, 100 lbs per child, adult supervision required. As with every water feature here, there's no lifeguard on staff — an adult watches the kids.

Good questions

Is the round pool feature a jacuzzi?+

No — it's a spillway spa, a water feature with no jets and no heat by default. On stays of 7+ nights, the hosts will heat it as a hot tub for a free 2-hour window each day.

Is there a lifeguard at the pool?+

No — it's a private pool, so adults supervise kids the way they would at any home pool. No diving anywhere, and the waterslide is limited to 120 lbs, one person at a time.

Can the waterslide and the spa run at the same time?+

No — the spillway spa and the waterslide are on an interlock. While the spa is heating, the slide has to stay off, or the spa water drains back into the pool.
